Dawna McCarty's Story
Left DMHS...married Brian McCarty...had 2 gorgeous children, Brian K. IV and Kimberly Suzanne. Mac and I divorced in 1980. Shortly thereafter, I met my husband of today, Guy. We married in April 1984. He has 4 children and with my 2,that makes 6 (and a brilliant 125# GSD named Hans). The kids all have careers in the medical field (dental, health and administration), farming, tool & die, and Sherrif's Department. We currently have 16 grandchildren between us of which half are still in kindergarten to high school. The other half are working their way through college. Big family...but LOL. Took business & accounting classes in college and currently own a successful water conditioning busiess in MI which is for sale. Moving back to Florida. We used to own Culligan of PSL but sold that in 1990 and moved to MI. Guy is a Michigander by blood but a Floridian in his heart. We are currently living in Howell, MI. ping in our place in N. MI, traveling (would have to with all the kids spread about the U.S.), reading, children and grandchildren, and my career. I am still working full time so there are other interests I have but will have to retire first. Been out of touch with DMHS for 30 + years so would love to hear from any of you...My health is excellent, my mind is good, so far (well, we are like 60 somthin')....and I enjoy life. Blink me soon or email me. Part II...Well, this is interesting and fun...After being on here, I would like to add, I was a tad shy in school. Hung out with the older class members (Mac McCarty was Class of 65) I was a good student, got into a little trouble once in a while with Ms. Shumaker, managed to stay out of jail...came close once...but they took the boys we were with instead...I could be very mischievious in a suttle sort of way. This is fun and I look forward to talking to everyone and attending the next event....
